Show the world through a practical situation

A routine task or a concrete decision can reveal how an unfamiliar society works. Introduce one custom or constraint at a time instead of asking the player to absorb every part of the premise in the opening message.

Let the setting have stable rules

Once the roleplay establishes an institution, location or relationship, carry it forward consistently. Make any change explicit and leave the player room to question what they encounter. Adult-content and identity rules apply regardless of the speculative setting.
