Know what each number represents
Levels, conversation activity and reactions describe different kinds of interaction with a Kyn. A usage total is not a rating, and one reaction does not predict the next person's experience. Read the labels before comparing the numbers.
The character's purpose matters too. A heavily used RPG narrator and a quiet one-to-one companion are built for different kinds of exchange, even when they appear in the same catalogue.
Treat an order as a view of a collection
A rank depends on the collection and the selected ordering. Activity can change, so an older displayed value does not establish an enduring place in a live table. It also does not establish a prize, a reset schedule or an entitlement to a feature.
Narrow the choice by the story
Compare setting, visual style and background before choosing a Kyn. Tags can narrow a theme; scenario and creator credits can reveal a larger project. For a shared world, ask how the cast and rules work together rather than choosing solely by a level.
